Loved them !First time for me spending a little more then I ever have on a pair of socks. But they have been great , I work on a ship which travels between cold and warm climates all the time and also my feet are Jammed in my boots all day ,These socks were perfect light enough for the worm weather and the Merino wool kept them warm for the cooler days . The Merino also is great for keeping sweaty feet away :) And a bonus having such a cute look to them .I Would for sure buy another pair .I just received my order of these socks yesterday, and already I love them. I had been wearing SmartWool socks so I am familiar with the properties of wool, and how it keeps you warm, even when wet, as in wet, snowy conditions.Winter is dreary enough, such that when I look down at my feet, I want a "lift" in mood - I want socks with an "attitude". And these DarnTough socks, with their vibrant colors, stripes, and designs, certainly have a kicky attitude about them. They are so pretty, you could put an assortment of them in a shadow box, neatly arranged, and hang them on the wall. The sock designs would provide great composition. The quality is top notch (I knit, too, so I look at insides of socks to see how well they are made).Lastly, and very importantly - they are made in AMERICA. DarnTough ought to get a pair of these to CBS's Diane Sawyer - so she can include them in her next "buying American" piece. In sum, these are beautiful socks, in every sense of the word.I recommend them not only for their excellent fit, but their warmth, their uplifting colors, and most of all - their "attitude".Thanks DarnTough - will be back for more. The fun colors first got my attention. They're not as lofty and soft as I had imagined they might be, but that's okay. What I especially love (other than the colors and stripes) is the company's guarantee. They promise to replace them if they EVER wear out - anytime in my life!!! I have bought several pairs of socks from SmartWool. I love those socks - they're a bit softer than these, but I have discovered that after one winter, they tend to wear very thin at the heel. Maybe I wear them too much. HOWEVER these newly discovered "TOUGH" socks are very promising. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I haven't had them very long, and don't know if they'll really last more than a few seasons. They do seem to be made for endurance, as compared to the perhaps more luxurious and delicate nature of the SmartWool socks I have.My sister recommended these socks to me and I'm so glad I was paying attention. First of all, the colors of the Piper Purple socks jumped off the screen and said "BUY ME!" so of course I had to. I wear them constantly. They are perfect with shoes because they aren't bulky and just as perfect with slippers because they feel so right — really comfortable. Despite going a number of wearings between washing, they don't smell (your mileage may vary, depending on your activity level and output of sweat). I was thrilled to read in other reviews that these things will last forever, assuming my washer doesn't eat them...I'm convinced that laundry appliances run on socks as fuel and not electricity or gas. I'll be keeping an eye on the appliances, though, because I don't want to ever lose these. They are a bit pricey, yes, but absolutely worth it. I would never have believed they were wool if I hadn't read it on the packaging. They are my new guilty pleasure.I've had these socks for about three months now, and I thought they would start stretching, fading in color, or starting to have those fuzz balls... They've definitely gotten as much wear as the other socks I've bought at the same time as I bought this pair. I now see what my husband sees in this brand. These socks live up to their brand's name, and I love the color choice! The only thing for me is that since my feet are a little sensitive to touch at the bottom and we have wood floors, I'd probably order a heavier weighted material. Other than that, it's perfect. I'm a size 8 in women's shoes, and I bought the small size. I thought it would be too small at first, but my husband knew more than I did about the socks and said to go for a small because they would "break in" better. He was right... As usual :)I bought these because I loved the warmth of the but didn't like the cost and they got holes in no time. My husband has been happy with his Darm Tough socks and recommended them. They are ok but I don't think worth the price. Positives are they have held up well (much netter than smart wool), I like the colors and style, and I received them quickly and as described. What I don't like is I thought they would be warmed and thicker but they are pretty thin and rather tight in the leg area. That makes my leg itchy and it feels good to take them off.if you are expecting a somewhat softer color as shown, you will probably find the colors are brighter than illustration, chartreuse is pretty bright and it is pretty much the same with rest of colors but that particular color stands out and there is more of it than shown. I do like the height of fit, though, because I don't like socks that ride close to the ankle. As far as size, I ordered a medium like I usually wear, but this size is larger than other mediums I wear and have purchased, like Smartwool. I like the quality and texture and probably will order from them again, being more aware now of all the above when making decision about which I buy.Not quite as warm or soft as my smartwool socks, but they make a good addition to my winter sock wardrobe. I love the colors and style, so I may be buying more of these in the future for days that aren't completely frigid. They aren't itchy and the different style of toe doesn't bother me, though I can see how it could take some getting used to. The toe feels a little large, but the rest of the sock fits well. I think they may hold up a bit better than other wool socks, since they are a firmer knit/not as soft.Beautiful sox but way to expensive. I think they were over $30 and taxes for one pair. And these were for my aunt. She has grand kids who play hockey so she needed them for the arenas in the winter and they did not live up to the expectations at all. She tried several different boots sense then but no luck at all. They've only been worn to the arenas so they are still around due to no success with matching them to an occasion or boot. I'm glad I didn't buy several pairs. Instead I tried others brands and found a sock company on Ali Express that sold the same type of sox. But these were thicker and only $7 CAD in a 2 pack. She still has those and they worked in everything she tried them in. Goes to show you should look around before diving head into an expensive new brand? They are pretty at least!I really love these socks. They are absolutely perfect. I am washing them in cold water and hanging them to dry, and they have not lost their shape or fit. They are completely comfortable on long hikes. The heel and the top stay put; there is no riding down. Thanks so much for these socks!Seamlessly where needed, oh so comfortable, and fun colours.Great quality, great look, and I have utter confidence in the lifetime warranty after the reviews I've read.love my darn tough socks!
